About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QR Maker handles information when you use the app. QR Maker is an offline-first QR code generator and scanner published by The Little Comet.

QR Maker creates, customises, and scans QR codes on your device. We do not operate a server that receives the QR content you enter or scan. The app may use third-party services for advertising and purchases; those providers handle information under their own policies.

Information stored on your device

To provide its features, QR Maker may store the following on your device:

• QR content you choose to create, such as links, text, contacts, or Wi-Fi details;
• code styles and customisation preferences, including colours, patterns, and logos;
• QR history when you enable or keep history in the app;
• app settings; and
• local information needed to reflect your Pro or ad-free entitlement.

Your QR content is processed locally. QR Maker does not send that content to our servers.

Creating, scanning, saving, and sharing QR codes

QR codes are generated on-device. When you scan a QR code, its decoded content is displayed on your device and is not automatically sent to us or another provider.

Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a QR code. QR Maker does not use the camera for background recording or surveillance.

If you save or share a generated code, the app gives the file to your device gallery, operating-system share sheet, or the service you select. A messaging, cloud, email, printing, or other service you choose may handle that file under its own privacy policy.

Advertising

The free version of QR Maker may show ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google and its advertising partners may process information such as an advertising identifier, IP address and approximate location, device and app information, diagnostics, ad interactions, and data used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and frequency capping.

You can manage ad personalisation through device settings or Google ad settings where those controls are available. A Pro or ad-free purchase removes in-app ads according to the feature you purchase.

In-app purchases

QR Maker may offer in-app purchases for Pro features, such as advanced customisation, batch generation, or an ad-free experience. The applicable app-store provider processes payments. We do not receive your full payment-card details, but the app may receive purchase status or licence information necessary to unlock your entitlement.

Permissions

Depending on your device and the features you use, QR Maker may request:

• Camera, to scan QR codes;
• Photos, media, or storage, to save QR images you choose to export; and
• Internet or network access, to enable advertising and app-store related services.

You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work until their required permission is granted.

Third-party providers

QR Maker may use the following providers. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), for advertising and ad measurement;
• Google Play services, for platform services, purchases, licensing, and app functionality; and
• Apple App Store, for platform services and purchases when QR Maker is available on iOS.

Retention, deletion, and security

Local QR content, history, styles, and settings remain on your device until you remove them. You can clear QR history where the app provides that option, clear app data in device settings, uninstall the app, and delete exported images from your gallery or storage.

Data handled by Google, an app-store provider, or another third-party service is retained under that provider’s policy. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to an offline-first app, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device with a screen lock and other device security controls.

Your choices

You can clear local data, manage app permissions, manage ad personalisation where available, choose an ad-free option where offered, or contact us with a privacy question. Because QR content is local to your device, most corrections and deletions can be made directly by you.

Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent for personal data. To make a request about information we control, contact us using the details below. Our ability to assist may be limited when data is held only on your device or is processed by a third-party provider.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when QR Maker, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the date above. Continued use of QR Maker after the effective date of an update means you accept the revised policy.
