1. Overview

Lotus Habits (“the App”, “we”, “our”) is a local-first habit tracking and productivity application built for Android.

• The App does not operate any servers or backend infrastructure.
• No account, login, or profile is required to use the App.
• All user data is stored locally on your device only.

Core features work without internet, but the App uses limited third-party services for ads and purchases that may collect certain information independently.

2. Data storage (on-device only)

Habit, daily tracker, task, timer, and settings data are stored on your device and are not transmitted to our own servers.

• Daily tracker entries
• Tasks and to-do items
• Pomodoro session data
• App settings and preferences
• Notification configurations
• App lock settings (biometric preference only)

3. No account required

You can use the App without creating an account or sharing profile details with us.

3.1 Information we do not ask you to provide

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account data (no login or signup system)
• Cross-app tracking data
• Remote or cloud-stored data

4. Third-party services

4.1 Google AdMob (rewarded advertising)

The free version of the App uses Google AdMob rewarded ads before opening analytics screens.

AdMob may automatically collect:

• Device identifiers
• IP address
• Device and operating system information
• Ad interaction data
• Limited network and diagnostic information

This data is handled by Google, not by us.

Purpose:

• Displaying rewarded ads
• Personalization (where applicable)
• Fraud prevention, measurement, and related ad operations

Analytics calculations inside the App use your on-device data. In the free version, the rewarded ad is an access gate before those analytics screens open.

User control: You can disable ad personalization in your Google or Android settings. In certain regions, users may be asked for consent for personalized ads.

4.2 In-app purchases

• Processed by Google Play Store
• Used for purchases such as removing ads
• No payment card data is stored by us

5. App permissions

• Biometric — App lock
• Notifications — Reminders
• Exact Alarm — Scheduling
• Internet — Ads, purchases, and opening the hosted privacy policy page
• File access — Backup and restore when you choose files or folders

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data or operate our own data-sharing backend for core app records. However, third-party services such as AdMob and Google Play may process data independently as part of their services.

7. Data backup & export

• Manual backups only
• Stored where you choose
• We do not access backup files

8. Data retention & deletion

• Data stays on your device
• Uninstalling removes app data stored on your device
• Backup files must be deleted manually

9. Data security

• Android app sandboxing
• Permission controls
• Device-level security

We recommend keeping your device secure and updated.

10. User rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws.

• You can manage your data directly in the App
• You can delete all data by uninstalling the App
• You can use the core habit, daily tracker, pomodoro, and to-do features without creating an account

11. Children’s privacy

This App is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data.

12. Changes to this policy

Updates will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date above. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as required.
